Account Manager
As an Account Manager at ClearEdge, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, developing strategic marketing plans, and overseeing the execution of marketing campaigns. You will play a critical role in ensuring our deliverables match the client’s brand guidelines and overall marketing objectives. Additional projects may also be assigned to support ClearEdge’s business goals.
Role & Responsibilities
Voice of the Customer:
- Understand the unique needs and challenges of the client.
- Champion the client’s perspective within CE, setting clear expectations and ensuring agile delivery that brings our solution to life within their business.
- Gather feedback and insights to continually improve services.
Customer Success Lead + Strategic Oversight:
- Collaborate with the delivery team to create comprehensive marketing strategies that align with client goals.
- Ensure seamless transitions and ongoing satisfaction with both clients and delivery.
- Nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients.
- Ensure client satisfaction and advocate for client’s needs.
- Resolve any issues or challenges promptly and effectively.
- Orchestrate a successful and strategic alignment of client goals and deliverables.
Ignite Growth:
- Identify growth opportunities (upselling or cross-selling services) and provide innovative solutions to client challenges.
- Proactively manage client renewals and contract extensions.
- Lead proposal development for new SOWs, ensuring alignment with the client plus delivery, and sales, when applicable.
Ensure Delivery Excellence:
- Oversee project to ensure alignment with client expectations.
- Ensure continuous collaboration for the best deliverables.
- Guarantee that the team meets client expectations with high-quality deliverables.
- Assess and create agility in approach to meet the client where they are at in their unique marking journey while aligning the budget/resources to maintain scope.
- Communicate and escalate, when necessary, if client deliverables do not meet quality standards.
Team Collaboration:
- Empower team members to offer innovative ideas in alignment with the client’s objectives.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Celebrate team successes and highlight client wins with the agency.
- Lead by example with a focus on achieving success together.
Agency Leadership & Team Lead:
- Motivate and nurture the account management team members and address their needs while developing skills and talent.
- Maintain regular communication with junior team members ensuring the team operates in the most effective and efficient way to meet client needs.
- Regularly engage in dialogue with the team to ensure an accurate view and understanding of their workload, priorities, deadlines and aspirations. Delegate projects and activities to stretch performance and capability of yourself and junior team members.
- Keep abreast of emerging partners, innovations, talent, sharing updates and knowledge with team.
- Lead team briefings to share information to keep teams informed and engaged.
- Support the team in delivering the brief by driving the quality and direction of the team on day-to-day basis.
- Plan and prioritize work with team to ensure completion according to client requirements and deadlines.
- Manage the client delivery with internal team to ensure proper project staffing and adherence to agency strategic process from brief through execution.
- Partner with appropriate colleagues to present strategic, creative solutions that adhere to standards, architecture and principles
- Evaluate and provide thoughtful, strategic feedback during creative reviews.
- Foster partnerships with creative and delivery teams.
Financials:
- Work with Project Managers to reconcile monthly hours estimates and actuals based on team tracked time
- Ensure client timelines and budgeted hours are in line with expectations
- Advise VP to any anticipated budgeted hours overages and timeline delays with solutions to address
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of trends and best practices in marketing, our industry and relationship building
- Identify opportunities to enhance internal processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Actively participate in industry events and social media, along with professional development activities to expand skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
KPIs:
- Maintain 90% billable rate
- Strong client satisfaction scores tracked through client NPS
- Quarterly budgeted GP of 40% or greater
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of proven project management, preferably within a marketing agency or in a marketing in-house department.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail, follow through, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Experience working in project management tools and software
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
Salary & Benefits
This is a contract-to-hire position requiring very infrequent travel to client locations. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Our benefits include:
