This is a part-time contract position, requiring some availability during normal business hours. The total number of hours worked each week will vary, but an anticipated range is between 10-20 hours per week. Compensation will be discussed based on experience and the scope of the project/contract terms.

The Content Writer is a talented and experienced writer who plays a crucial role in creating engaging and effective content for agency clients. Collaborative and client-facing, you understand brand-centered storytelling, web writing, and SEO best practices. 

In this role you will craft various content types — which may include: thought leadership articles, e-books and reports, infographics, blog posts, emails, website copy, social posts, video scripts and sales enablement assets (sell sheets, case studies) — that address a client’s target audiences and promote their brand. 

The Content Writer will research industry topics and trends primarily in the talent acquisition and tech spaces, optimize content for organic search, revise and edit pieces, and collaborate with other writers and team members to ensure brand consistency. The ideal candidate will be creative, strategic, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.

Role & Responsibilities 

  • Develop high-quality, creative, and engaging content for various marketing materials, including website copy, blog posts, social media content, email campaigns, and more
  • Tailor content to meet the specific requirements of clients and align with their brand voice and objectives
  • Conduct thorough research on industry trends, market dynamics, and client offerings to ensure accurate and up-to-date information in content creation
  • Consult with clients to establish content goals, audit current content performance, and provide suggested themes and topics aligned with overall marketing strategies and objectives
  • Incorporate feedback from team members and clients to refine and improve content
  • Implement SEO best practices to enhance the online visibility of content and improve search engine rankings
  • Meet project deadlines and manage to a budget of hours for multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Adapt writing style to suit different industries, target audiences, and platforms
  • Review and edit content to ensure it is error-free, grammatically correct, and aligns with brand guidelines
  • Stay updated on industry trends, content marketing strategies, and digital marketing best practices

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a content writer, preferably in a marketing agency or related field
  • A strong portfolio showcasing diverse writing samples across different formats and industries
  • Ability to think creatively and generate innovative ideas for content
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience interviewing subject matter experts on input and discovery calls 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
  • Willingness to adapt to feedback and make revisions accordingly
  • Understanding of SEO principles and how to incorporate them into content creation
