We are seeking an Integrated Search Strategist. You should be a triple-threat with expertise in traditional organic search (SEO) and high-performance paid media, and an early adopter on the emerging frontier of Answer and Generative Engine Optimization (AEO & GEO). You will ensure our B2B clients in talent and HR tech space are not just found, but cited as authoritative sources across Google, and AI-driven engines like ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.
You’ll partner closely with content, design, PR, and website teams to ensure continuity between your work and that of other team members, and that it supports our clients’ goals.
What You’ll Do
Strategy & Planning
- Develop integrated SEO/AEO/GEO and paid strategies that align with client goals, brand positioning for the company, optimize content for both human intent and LLM synthesization.
- Synthesize existing deliverables, create new materials, and evaluate, optimize and document processes for a consistent experience from client to client.
- Train delivery team members in executing integrated search strategies, and account and sales team members in the integrated search services so they may look for opportunities with clients and prospects.
Organic & AI (SEO, AEO, GEO) Execution
- Create data-driven SEO roadmaps and initiatives tailored to client goals, covering technical SEO, on-page optimization, content strategy, off-page tactics, and specialized optimization for Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Perform detailed technical SEO audits (crawlability, indexability, Core Web Vitals), content gap analysis, keyword research, competitor analysis, and assess content’s suitability for LLM understanding to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Roll up your sleeves to implement on-page optimizations (meta tags, headings, schema markup), provide content briefs for SEO-friendly and LLM-optimized content creation (focusing on clarity, factual accuracy, context, and entity salience), and manage technical SEO fixes in collaboration with development teams.
- Partner with content creators to ensure content is optimized for search intent, user experience, keyword targeting, and structured in a way that is easily consumable and synthesizable by LLMs (e.g., clear definitions, Q&A formats, strong internal linking for topical authority).
- Identify and pursue high-quality, relevant backlink opportunities to improve domain authority and search rankings, recognizing how authority and trustworthiness influence LLM citations and references.
- Utilize tools like Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, SEMrush, SERanking, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog to track KPIs (organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversion rates, brand mentions/citations in AI outputs), identify trends, and provide comprehensive reports with actionable insights to clients.
- Continuously research and adapt strategies to evolving search engine algorithms, the proliferation of AI in search, and emerging best practices for optimizing content for LLMs.
Paid Ads Execution
- Design data-driven paid advertising strategies aligned with client business goals and target audience insights.
- Define relevant metrics for campaign success and set up robust tracking and reporting mechanisms to monitor performance.
- Manage the day-to-day tactical execution of campaigns across platforms such as LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube), Meta Ads (Facebook/Instagram), and other relevant advertising channels.
- Identify optimal keywords and audience segments to maximize campaign reach and efficiency.
- Collaborate with creative teams or develop ad creative that resonates with target audiences and adheres to platform best practices.
- Continuously analyze campaign performance data, identify trends, and implement A/B tests and adjustments to improve ROI and achieve client objectives.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to define, develop, and optimize landing pages that align with campaign goals.
- Allocate and manage advertising spend to ensure maximum efficiency and performance.
- Generate regular reports on campaign performance, highlighting key metrics, successes, challenges, and actionable recommendations.
- Continuously research and implement new advertising features, strategies, and best practices.
- Present campaign strategies, performance updates, and recommendations clearly and concisely.
Team Management & Collaboration
- Oversee the SEO and paid contract team, including work product and performance management.
- Work closely with the content, design, PR and website teams to ensure our integrated search work is consistent and lines up with the company’s brand and go-to-market messaging.
- Work closely with the Growth Marketing Strategist on campaign strategy, planning, and execution across channels.
- Collaborate with account managers and PMs to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with client goals.
- Document repeatable frameworks, playbooks, and standards to ensure consistent execution across clients.
Measurement & Optimization
- Define KPIs and reporting frameworks for integrated search performance.
- Analyze engagement, reach, and conversion data to recommend strategic optimizations.
- Present performance insights and growth opportunities to clients by connecting search and paid performance to downstream outcomes (leads, pipeline, revenue) and support client conversations around ROI and budget allocation.
What You Bring
- 5–8 years of experience and proven results in SEO and paid media programs (agency experience preferred).
- Demonstrated understanding and practical experience in optimizing content for Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI-driven search experience
- Technical SEO (site audits, crawl budget, Core Web Vitals), On-page SEO, Content SEO, and Off-page SEO (link building)
- Extensive tactical execution experience across major ad platforms, including LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, and Meta Ads (Facebook/Instagram). Experience with other popular ad platforms is a plus.
- Experience with various CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, HubSpot) and understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO.
- Ability to interpret complex data, draw actionable insights, and translate technical jargon into clear, client-friendly recommendations, including insights related to AI-generated search outputs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex strategies and performance results effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
