Tammi Heaton, Chief Operations Officer at PrideStaff, kicks off the episode by sharing a recap of her background. Early in her career, Tammi was a claims examiner, and in that role she learned the legal aspect of workers’ compensation, negotiated with attorneys, and worked with a variety of industries; one of her clients along the way happened to be PrideStaff. They ultimately recruited her to start their risk management department, and Tammi has been on board ever since. PrideStaff is primarily a commercial staffing business that operates under a franchise model, and has offices in nearly 40 states that serve more than 5,000 customers.
Tammi shares that she enjoys what she does every day because it’s never the same, and she stays passionate about staffing because the industry is constantly changing. With a highly experienced team and PrideStaff’s successful franchise model, she often feels there are no limits to what the organization can accomplish, which is empowering.
Tammi’s footprint in the industry reaches far past her work at PrideStaff. Tammi was recently named to the 2017 SIA Global Power 100- Women in Staffing list for the third consecutive year. She is incredibly honored by the recognition and is passionate about recognizing women in the staffing industry.
