Conduct a Marketing Landscape Review
Take a look at all of your internal and external marketing efforts like campaigns, programs, customer feedback, market research, and even your team. What’s working? What needs to be optimized? Take a look at what’s trending and how it will affect your team in the coming year.
Set Your Vision and Goals
Remember to pull from your business goals! Meet with your C-Suite to understand the overall business goals and build 3 – 5 marketing goals that map up to them.
Define Your Strategy and Ideate
Look at building out your growth strategy. Are you focusing on new customers? Existing customer growth? Or maybe you’re more focused on brand awareness rather than revenue? Whatever your growth goals, now is the time to solidify the strategy and start daydreaming about all of your campaigns and content – don’t be afraid to think big! Finally, finalize your promotional channel strategies together.
Execution Blueprint
After coming up with your big ideas, it’s time to look at what’s possible. Get into the nuts and the bolts of what you’ve ideated and plan your execution alongside your team capacity and resources.
Leadership Buy-In
Get your C-suite (especially CEO, CFO, and CRO) to approve the marketing plan. That way you can hit the ground running with all of the sales and marketing alignment you need.
Finalize Your Implementation Plan
Now that you know what you need to do, you need to be clear about how you’re going to do it. What do you need in place to make sure your plan works? Get those resources settled before kicking off your campaigns so you can get to work seamlessly.
